C.A.M.P. Ministry![]() Next Meeting
Saturday, March 20 in the Fellowship Hall at 8:30 am. Please bring cold cuts, cheese and whole grain breads to make sandwiches for the homeless camp. We’ll need 10-12 lbs of deli meats to make hearty sandwiches. Condiments are not needed.
Earthquake in Haiti Response
In response to the tragic earthquake in Haiti, our CAMP Ministry will be collecting and assembling Health Kits for UMCOR (the United Methodist Committee On Relief), which responds to emergencies around the world.
C.A.M.P. is the exciting new missions and outreach ministry of St. Paul’s UMC. Jesus commands us to “Love the Lord your God” and to “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matt. 22:37, 39). One of the ways we do this by serving one another. Whether you are 18 or 88, C.A.M.P. is a place where you can find a place to serve God and to serve your neighbor. On the third Saturday of each month, simply come to the church Fellowship Hall beginning at 8:30am to find out what meaningful service opportunities are available for the day, because there will be something for everyone! Some projects may take an hour, some may take longer. Projects will range from making sandwiches to visiting homebound members, from yard work to light home repair– whatever you choose, and child care will be available! So come to C.A.M.P. and see what a difference God’s people at St. Paul’s can make in our community!
Opportunities include (but not limited to): trash cleanup at the homeless camps (youth volunteers to be accompanied by parent or guardian), sandwich preparation/packaging/delivery for the homeless camps, visit/deliver communion to St. Paul’s homebound members, put together “comfort item” packages for battered women at Providence House, provide child care at the church so that parents with young
children can take part in the missions of the day.
If you have questions or ideas for other projects, please contact Jane Marion at the church office.
